State-of-the-art production know-how for individual solutions

One important milestone in the quite young history of the company was the move to the new factory Landsberg / Queis in 1999, which was built in accordance with state-of-the-art principles of the flow of production. ELH is one of the most modern production sites for bogies in Europe.


At our factory site with an area of 24,000 m² and 8,600 m² production plant, social and office area reliable bogies for the railway cars on the global market are produced with state-of-the-art production technologies. 


The modern production technology of ELH comprises:

  • welding robots for sole bars and transoms as well as for small parts and frames
  • state-of-the-art sandblasting and painting facility for environmentally friendly water-based paints
  • plasma cutting system
  • CNC-milling machines
  • advanced static loading test stand up to 750 kN for differnt gauges


Continuous testing during the production process ensures flawless products. Upon the customer´s requests it is also possible to have an acceptance test carried out by external experts.

Every bogie is digitally measured and recorded. The logistics system within the company operated by means of a barcode system permits the continuous traceability of all products and ensures due date reliability.

An acceptance test certificate documents the precise production for every single product. 


The requirements of the quality management system as per DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 are implemented consistently. The efficient process management as well as our qualified staff warrant a high customer satisfaction.
